How a senior living advisor actually helps

Finding the right community for an aging parent doesn’t need to be overwhelming. We do the legwork so your family can focus on what matters.

Three steps. One small team.

01

We listen

Tell us what's going on through the 60-second intake quiz — your loved one's medical needs, preferred locations, budget, and what matters most. We personally read every submission.

02

We research

We curate a short list of communities that fit, with contact information and the option to schedule tours. You see only the homes worth your time — not a thousand listings.

03

We match

We introduce you only to the communities you say yes to. No lead-blasts. We stay with you through tours, the move-in, and any follow-up the family needs.

A free service for families

Our consulting is provided at no charge to you. We’re compensated by the senior community a family ultimately chooses — only after a move-in — and that fee is built into the community’s standard pricing. Families pay nothing extra.

We stay in touch throughout the process, following up to make sure each referral leads somewhere useful.

Seven warning signs to watch for

Wondering whether it might be time to consider senior living? These seven signs often signal that a loved one would benefit from more support than home alone can provide:

  • Health concerns or recent decline
  • Changes in eating habits
  • Difficulty managing medications
  • Lapses in personal hygiene
  • Loss of social connection
  • New mobility issues
  • Memory loss or dementia

If any of these feel familiar, the 60-second quiz can help clarify the options — we review every submission personally.

The questions families ask first

+How is your service free?
There is no charge to families. Like most senior living advisors, we are compensated by the community a family ultimately chooses — only after a move-in. That fee is built into the community's standard pricing, so families pay nothing extra by working with us.
+Will you share my contact information with a long list of communities?
No. Your inquiry goes to our team directly. We read what you sent, learn what you need, and only then introduce you to the communities that fit — and only with your go-ahead. There are no automated lead-blasts and no boiler-room call-backs from dozens of operators.
+How is this different from a large national directory?
Large national directories are paid by communities for every family they pass along, so they're incentivized to send your information to many places at once. We're a small Southern California agency with twenty years of local experience — we read what you submitted, handle the search ourselves, and know the communities personally because we've visited them.
+How quickly will I hear back?
We'll be in touch by email, usually the same business day and almost always within one. If you're in a time-sensitive situation — a recent fall, a hospital discharge, a sudden change in dementia symptoms — mention it in the special-needs field of the quiz and your reply will be prioritized.
+What areas do you serve?
Greater Los Angeles County (Santa Monica, the West Side, the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, the South Bay, Long Beach, and Orange County) plus the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City, La Quinta, and Indio). If you're nearby but not listed, ask anyway — we may still be able to help or refer you.
+What is the difference between assisted living and board & care?
Both provide help with daily living, but board & care homes (also called residential care) are small — usually 6 to 10 residents in a regular house in a neighborhood, with a higher caregiver-to-resident ratio. Assisted living communities are larger, with more amenities and programming but lower per-resident attention. We can walk you through which fits.
